# Give your agent eyes on the open web

An agent only knows what's in its context. glim is the light it carries out. Connect one hosted endpoint and your agent can read live data from Twitter, Reddit, the open web, GitHub and more — no API keys, no scraping stack, no glue code. You pay per call.

## Why teams use glim

- **No API keys** - One balance covers every source. Skip the per-provider signups, tokens and quota juggling.
- **One endpoint** - A single URL works across Claude, Cursor, Cline and any MCP client. The install is the URL.
- **Pay per call** - Cents per request, billed against your balance. No subscription, no minimum, no lock-in.
- **Scoped per session** - Expose only the tools a task needs with the ?tools= query param. Least privilege by default.

## What your agent can reach

Each tool returns clean, model-ready data — not raw HTML you have to wrangle. Mix and match them in a single session:

- `Twitter / X` — search tweets, read full threads, pull a user's recent timeline
- `Reddit` — search posts, read whole comment trees, browse subreddits and profiles
- `Web` — semantic search across the open web, plus page & PDF crawl to clean markdown
- `GitHub` — repository and code search for any public repo
- `YouTube` — subtitle and transcript extraction, ready for the model
- `Amazon` — product titles, prices, ratings and details by query or ID

> **New here?** Jump to the [Quickstart](https://glim.sh/docs.md?page=quickstart) — you'll be making live calls in under a minute.

## Pay with any wallet

Every call is settled on-chain via the x402 protocol — no account required. Pay with USDC on `Base`, `Solana`, or `Monad`, or sign in at `glim.sh/app` to top up a balance and use an API key.

> **Full API reference** Both flows are covered in [Payments & auth](https://glim.sh/docs.md?page=payments). Browse every endpoint in the [interactive reference](https://glim.sh/docs-openapi) or the raw [OpenAPI spec](https://glim.sh/openapi.json).
