# What's new in glim

Shipped changes, newest first. glim is hosted — every improvement lands for every client with zero config changes.

## November 2026

- 2026-11-03 [improved] **Reddit: full comment threads** - Reddit post lookups now return up to the comment limit you ask for (as many as 200), top-level comments first, instead of stopping at about 35.

- 2026-11-03 [fixed] **Faster Reddit calls** - Reddit calls that slowed to about a minute on November 2 are back to roughly 5-10 seconds, and the first call after a quiet spell no longer takes around 30 seconds.

- 2026-11-03 [improved] **Reddit and Amazon ride out restarts** - A call that lands during a brief restart on our side now waits it out and completes instead of failing.

## August 2026

- 2026-08-28 [improved] **AI detection: richer segments, one detection class** - Every segment now carries its full text, character offsets into the exact text you submitted, token counts, and humanizer flags; the response adds the detector version and segment counts, and the 200 schema is fully typed in the OpenAPI spec. Every call runs the highest-accuracy detection class at $0.06 per 100 words (the tier field is retired but still accepted) — so text that used to run on the cheaper class now costs 10x more per word, and the maximum input is 20,000 characters rather than 40,000.

- 2026-08-28 [new] **REST, JavaScript, and Python quickstarts** - Three new docs pages with copy-pasteable examples for both auth modes — API key and pay-per-call wallet. All docs pages are also served as plain markdown at /docs.md?page=… for agents and curl.

- 2026-08-11 [new] **Telegram channels** - Discover public channels, pull live posts with views and reactions, search a channel's full history, and read discussion comments — no Telegram account needed.

## June 2026

- 2026-06-15 [new] **Amazon data** - Search Amazon listings and fetch product detail by query or URL.

- 2026-06-12 [improved] **GitHub search** - Full GitHub search syntax including code search, with automatic recovery on empty or malformed queries.

- 2026-06-12 [new] **$1 free credit** - Sign in with an email code and your first calls are on us.

- 2026-06-12 [new] **Live landing demo** - The Try-it section on glim.sh runs real sponsored tool calls, not canned output.

- 2026-06-12 [improved] **Usage dashboard** - Spend and transaction totals over 7/30/90-day windows, per-tool daily trend, and CSV export.

- 2026-06-10 [improved] **glim.sh** - The service moved to its permanent home with a single MCP URL (glim.sh/mcp); surf.cascade.fyi remains as an alias.

- 2026-06-09 [new] **Monad mainnet** - Pay per call with USDC on Monad, alongside Base, Solana and Tempo.

## April 2026

- 2026-04-21 [new] **YouTube transcripts** - Pull subtitles and transcripts for any video by URL.

- 2026-04-08 [new] **Accounts & API keys** - Sign in for a prepaid balance and authenticate with an API key, in addition to anonymous per-call wallet payments. OAuth 2.1 for MCP clients.

- 2026-04-03 [new] **GitHub tools** - Repo, code and conversation search plus single-ref fetch (beta).

## March 2026

- 2026-03-25 [improved] **Richer data** - Engagement summaries and topic rollups on Twitter search, enriched Reddit posts, and cleaner web extraction.

- 2026-03-25 [improved] **Unified pricing** - One price per tool across REST and MCP.

- 2026-03-18 [new] **Reddit data** - Search posts and fetch full threads with comments.

- 2026-03-05 [new] **LLM inference** - An OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible inference endpoint, paid per token.

## February 2026
